As well as the newly refurbished pub itself, we have pretty gardens that are that are perfect for al fresco dining and a 16th century cottage,which has been converted into eight letting rooms that are our next project for refurbishment and all going well, will be completed by July 2016.There’s also plenty of parking to the front and rear, which is very important for a pub in this location.
For a while our food offering had been your basic pub
food, but things are much more refined now. We have the
pleasure of employing Tim Biddle as head chef and
striving to achieve three rosettes, he leads our dynamic
kitchen, assisted by second chef Glen Hodd. They cook
up elegant modern French/British cuisine, with a focus
on the finest seasonal ingredients, exquisite presentation
and both classic and modern techniques.
Tim and Glen have refined their culinary talent at restaurants
across Sussex and Surrey.It’s not just about our food, however. We also take our
drinks offer very seriously and have three seasonal ales
on tap: Hogs Back Brewery’s TEA, Ringwood Best Bitter
and Ringwood Forty Niner. As you’d expect from a top
quality Surrey pub, we also have an extensive wine list.

Situated 15 minutes’ drive from Guildford town centre, The Squirrel is a listed 16th-century building which has been refurbished to include modern features such as free WiFi in public areas and rooms with iPod docking stations.

A flat-screen TV with DVD player is provided with each room at The Squirrel, as well as a private bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities.

A variety of seasonal dishes are served in the on-site restaurant and ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible. Real ales are served in the bar. Guests can choose from a breakfast menu including continental and cooked options, available for an additional cost.

The entrance to South Downs National Park is a 20-minute drive away and features ancient woodlands, traditional villages and activities such as hiking, cycling and horse riding.
