My husband originates from Brighton so we are very familiar with the area. There is lots to do, walking, cycling, travelling is easier by bus as Central Brighton is very expensive to park your car. Lots to do at The Marina. In Brighton, Volks railway, museums, pubs, restaurants, The Lanes, The pier, Brighton Pavilion, Go on the bus further afield to towns such as Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells, Worthing, Shoreham or hop into your car and visit The Bluebell Railway, The Downs , several National Trust properties. The choice is endless !

Some great old fashioned shops and pubs around this area. Tesco across the road and big car park. Really lovely old fashioned seaside village. Bus stop on the main road is excellent for a trip to Brighton and leave you car at the hotel.

Nice little seaside village situated on the cliffs with a Tesco express and Budgen, several pubs and a Costa. Only a few miles from Brighton but ideal for those wanting to stay in a quieter, more relaxed location.

Rottingdean is a beautiful small town, the bus links to Brighton are great. The beach is beautiful, clean and uncrowded. Shops in this small town cover whatever you may need for a short visit. Shanes Place is a lovely little cafe with excellent food and cakes. Just dont bother with The White Horse, the standard has dropped over the last 3 years and we will not stay there again.

Rottingdean is an old, charming seaside village with a busy high street of little shops and cafes. The Rudyard Kipling gardens are lovely. The only downside is the busy main road cutting through to Brighton. Its close to the beautiful South Downs for a day out too.

Our second stop here in 8 days as we caught the ferry from Newhaven nearby to Europe and back, so this hotel was absolutely perfect location for us. The room this time was at the back with an awful view of the yard behind, but everything else was perfect. The buses to Brighton were about every 10 minutes, but we didn't take advantage this time as we only arrive at 10.20pm at night after a very long day driving and boat trip. Car park free and always loads of room.

Room so clean, bathroom so clean and water pressure and hot. Heated towel rack. Beds are so comfortable. Breakfast was fast and delicious. Our room did look out onto a busy road but there are room that look out to view the sea. Love cafe just a few minutes walk on the beach front. This is a beautiful village so check it out if you can. Many pubs, places to walk. Wish we had more time to explore.

Located in the outskirts of Brighton, the Hotel is well connected to Brighton (10 min. by car). In the hotel building there is a typical English pub serving excellent food and ales. For the price we paid, this was an excellent place to spend a few days in the lovely village/town of Rottingdean. As in the description, it is only a studio so not huge but we still manage to cook meals using the equipment provided. The general decor was to a high standard and it was very clean.

The room and public areas were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful and easy to understand even though masks were required. The hotel was in a convenient location. The room had good double glazing which kept the traffic noise out (the hotel was on a busy road).

The breakfast at White Horse Hotel is all you could ask for. Help yourself for the continental initially, and then what ever you wish for, for the cooked breakfast. The choices range from vegan to traditional full English breakfast. Absolutely value for money.
